Hatim Chébti

Mijn naam is Hatim Chebti. Ik werk bij ABN AMRO Bank.

Ik ben senior marketeer voor het segment Midden- en Kleinbedrijf. In deze functie ben ik verantwoordelijk voor de internetpropositie voor de MKB markt. Samen met mijn collega’s heb ik dit jaar het Your Business Banking Concept in de markt gezet. Dit is een multichannel bedieningsconcept voor de zakelijke markt.

Ik ben mijn loopbaan bij ABN AMRO begonnen bij Human Resources. Mede dankzij mijn inspanningen voor het Diversity & Inclusion programma is het besef in de organisatie gegroeid dat mensen met verschillende achtergronden elkaar versterken en dat diversiteit een team juist versterkt. Daar geloof ik niet alleen persoonlijk in, maar ik zie ook binnen de bank dat het wérkt.

Naast mijn werk bij ABN AMRO, haal ik veel energie en plezier uit mijn vrijwilligerswerk als voorzitter van TANS. TANS geeft jongeren de handvatten om hun dromen te realiseren en te geloven in zichzelf. In Nederland groeien nog steeds jongeren op in een achterstandspositie. Middels programma’s zoals de TANS Masterclass en het mentoringprogramma Mentoring the Stars creëert TANS het besef bij jongeren dat zij afgerekend worden op hun prestaties, talenten en ambities en niet op hun afkomst.

The American Embassy is delighted that Hatim Chebti has been nominated for the Young Professional of the Year Award. We had the good fortune of working with Hatim for the past 5 years. One of the most significant ways in which the U.S. Embassy recognize significant individuals in Dutch society is by inviting them to participate in The U.S. Government's International Visitors Leadership Program.
We nominated Hatim in 2008 for an individual three-week program that focused on entrepreneurship, technology and diversity, for many of the same reasons he is being nominated for the Young Professional of the Year Award. He benefited greatly from the experience and he ably represented the Dutch people on this program. He has proven adept at bridging cross-cultural differences and we expect he will continue to do so for many years to come.
